A dedicated local radio volunteer is set to go live for 24 hours straight to raise funds and awareness for Norwich-based charity Future Projects, which supports vulnerable people across Norfolk. Reuben Convery, a volunteer presenter at Future Radio, will take to the airwaves from 9am on Monday 24th November to 9am on Tuesday 25th November, hosting a non-stop broadcast filled with music, interviews, challenges and special guests.
The station ran a similar event in August last year, raising over £3000 for the charity. This year, the team have an ambitious goal to raise even more funds for the charity’s vital services, including through a donate a tune initiative which encourages listeners to donate in return for Reuben playing any song of their choice and local businesses sponsoring sections of the show.
The funds raised will go toward Future Projects services, as well as providing Norwich’s community radio station, their frontline services help those most in need in our communities and include free, healthy meals twice per week, an open-to-all community fridge, expert one-to-one support and more.
