My name is Emma and I grew up on the Suffolk coast before training to be a newspaper journalist, with the National Council for the Training of Journalists, nearly 25 years ago. I’ve been based in Norfolk since 2000, becoming an award-winning regional journalist along the way – winning a Hair Journalism award two years running (both ceremonies were very bad hair days, if I remember rightly…).
I decided to go freelance in 2012, and since then I have written for regional newspapers and magazines as well as digital publications.
Folk Features is my ‘lockdown’ start-up, and I post an uplifting/inspiring story for the good folk of Norfolk and Suffolk, Monday to Friday. On this website you will find ‘eco-friendly folk’ and ‘feel-good folk’, as well as inspirational stories of ‘your year’.
Folk Features is an ad-free ‘positive news’ website and I am seeking key partners to help support me, joining From Suffolk With Love, Plain Speaking PR and Jader Ltd in the process. Oh, and do feel free to SUBSCRIBE and DONATE – it all helps me to run Folk Features as a media website without the ads.
If you are a small business owner and are interested in becoming a key partner of Folk Features, please email email@example.com. I am also available for copy-writing and proof-reading commissions.
