Macmillan Charity Golf Day – Barnham Broom

October 2

A long-running charity golf day in Norfolk is set to return this autumn, with organisers hoping to reach a significant fundraising milestone.

The Macmillan Charity Golf Day, hosted by Graham Knights, will take place on 2nd October 2026 at Barnham Broom. Now in its 28th year, the event has raised more than £334,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Funds raised support Macmillan nurses across Norfolk, helping provide specialist care and support to people living with cancer and their families. Across the UK, Macmillan Cancer Support estimates that around 3 million people are currently living with cancer, highlighting the growing demand for its services at both a national and local level.

This year, organisers are aiming to take the total raised to £350,000.

The golf day brings together local businesses, clients and supporters for a full day of activity and fundraising, including an 18-hole team competition, on-course refreshments, and an evening dinner and charity auction.

Teams of four can enter for £400, which includes:

  • Coffee & bacon rolls on arrival

  • Individual goody bags for all players

  • 18 holes of golf on the Penninck course with a shotgun start

  • On-course food and refreshments

  • Two-course dinner

  • Charity auction and grand raffle

  • An opportunity to bid for some amazing golf 4-ball vouchers

Organisers say the event continues to attract strong support from the local business community, combining networking with fundraising for a widely supported cause.

There are also various sponsorship opportunities available on the day. For more information on these or to enter a team, please contact grahamjknights@googlemail.com
