Jacqueline Springer will be in conversation alongside Gus Casely-Hayford (the director of the new V&A East) with Dr Ben Street (art historian, author, journalist and educator).
In The Music is Black: A British Story, Jacqueline chronicles how Black British music is the sound of identity, resistance, anger, celebration, love, loss — the music of possibility and hope. Epic in scope and personal recollection, her book bears witness to the resilience, ingenuity and heart of all those who create.
