This Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week, Norfolk charity Sue Lambert Trust is organising a new craft fair to raise funds for support services for survivors. Organiser and Outreach Worker Kate Hicks explains more
A Norfolk charity that supports survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence has organised a new craft fair in Norwich and is calling on the public to support it this February. The Sue Lambert Trust craft fair takes place at St Mary’s Works in Norwich on Sunday 9th February and is free to attend from 10.30am until 4pm. There will be the opportunity to browse and shop from more than 30 local crafters, selling artisan goods including pottery, jewellery, hand-spun yarn, crystal candles, wax melts, prints and lots more.
The event, which takes place during Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week (3rd-9th February) aims to raise funds for the Norfolk charity, which provides specialist, professional support for people who have experienced sexual abuse and sexual violence.
Kate Hicks, an outreach worker for Sue Lambert Trust, has organised the event, and is encouraging people to attend as the charity struggles to meet rising demand. In 2024, Sue Lambert Trust supported more than 600 people from the county, and each month receives up to 100 calls from new people reaching out for help.

“We hope that people will attend our first craft fair, shop from the talented stallholders, and take time to learn why the support we provide at Sue Lambert Trust is so vital and life-changing for hundreds of people living in Norfolk.
“Our brilliant local community of artists, artisan makers and crafters from Norwich have come together to show they support what we do, and that they believe therapeutic services for sexual abuse survivors is essential. We’d love to see a big, friendly crowd of shoppers turn out on the day, to support these small, independent businesses. You’ll be able to buy unique handcrafted items from Norwich makers, while helping to raise money for our charity and the vital work we do to support survivors living in Norfolk.
“Like so many charities, we face tough funding challenges and need public support to help us continue delivering specialist, professional counselling and support services so that victims can start to heal.”
The Sue Lambert Trust Charity Craft Fair takes place on Sunday 9th February 10.30am – 4pm at St Mary’s Works, St Marys Plain, Norwich NR3 3AF. It is free to attend. As not all stallholders will be able to accept card payments on the day, visitors are advised to bring cash too. More information at Sue Lambert Trust and Facebook
