New charity partner for Sue Lambert Trust

Acora One Sue Lambert Trust

Acora One, a Norwich-based IT Managed Service Provider, has announced Norfolk charity Sue Lambert Trust will be its 2025 charity of the year. Those involved explain more

Acora One, a leading IT support and solutions partner for SMEs across the UK with headquarters in Norwich, has nominated Sue Lambert Trust as its charity of the year. This means that the business will raise much-needed funds so the Norfolk charity can continue delivering essential support and therapeutic counselling services for victims of sexual violence and abuse. In 2024, Sue Lambert Trust supported almost 600 people with 52-weeks of intensive one-to- one counselling delivered by qualified, professional counsellors, enabling people to heal from the trauma of abuse.

Rachel Morris, managing director of Acora One says: “We are incredibly proud to be supporting Sue Lambert Trust as our chosen charity this year. Their vital work across Norfolk, offering free, confidential support to survivors of sexual abuse and trauma, is truly life changing. As a local organisation making a real difference in our community, we are honoured to stand alongside them and contribute to their mission of healing, hope and empowerment.”

Wasting no time in starting their support, the Acora One team have completed a corporate volunteer day at Sue Lambert Trust’s Norwich office, transforming outdoor spaces, painting, gardening and giving the outside of the building a fresh, tidy new look. Thanks to their efforts, Sue Lambert Trust’s communal garden and entryway to the Norwich office are now a more welcoming space for clients.

Steven Rose, support team leader at Acora One volunteered for the day and says: “It was very rewarding and fulfilling to be able to give something back by helping to brighten up the garden and other communal areas. It was made even more meaningful by seeing the heartfelt responses from those we engaged with from the charity on the day.”

Louise Archer, Fundraising Manager at Sue Lambert adds: “Without the support of businesses like Acora One we would struggle to fund all the support that is needed by our clients, and future clients, living in Norfolk. In 2024, we supported more than 600 people who were suffering with the impact of sexual violence and delivered over 10,000 individual counselling sessions. We also deliver group therapy sessions, which means our professional support touches the lives of hundreds of survivors – people who have asked for our specialist help so they can start to heal from the devastating trauma they’ve experienced. Many of our clients live with the emotional pain and mental distress caused by rape and sexual abuse for years, sometimes decades, before they bravely speak out, and ask for our help. We want to be there for everyone who needs us in Norfolk, as soon as we can. But sadly, we always have a waiting list. Demand continues to rise, while our funding does not, and due to recent cuts, we have had to reduce the number of people we can support this year. We want to turn that around. All victims of sexual violence deserve access to specialist support. We are incredibly thankful to Acora One for speaking up for survivors of sexual violence and for choosing to support Sue Lambert Trust at such a vital time.”
