An elearning library for businesses around the world

Scott Hewitt, Founder of Real Projects elearning

Scott Hewitt is the Founder of Norfolk-based elearning business Real Projects, which works with clients around the world. Following the launch of a new collection of wellbeing courses, Scott shares the story

First things first, who are you and what do you do?
I run Real Projects, an elearning company. We create digital training content for businesses with complex needs, covering areas such as retail, hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, and finance. Our content is short, sharp, and designed for real-world use. We’ve built a ready-made elearning library, available in six languages, designed to support both growing businesses and global teams.

When did you first have the idea for Real Projects and what is the thinking behind it?
The idea came from recognising that off-the-shelf training often doesn’t reflect the way people actually work. It’s usually too generic, too long, or difficult to adapt to specific environments.

Real Projects began with a focus on delivering high-quality custom content. Over time, we saw that our clients also needed fast, flexible solutions. That insight led to the development of our multilingual elearning library, offering practical courses that can be deployed quickly across diverse teams.

What were you doing before?
Before launching Real Projects, I worked in the elearning industry with a particular focus on localisation. I was involved in adapting and translating training content into multiple languages.

That work highlighted the challenges many global companies face when trying to deliver relevant and accessible training. It also showed the value of going beyond translation to create content that feels native to each audience.

Who else is on the team?
We’ve built a compact but experienced team that includes instructional designers, localisation experts, editors, voiceover artists, and technical specialists. We also collaborate with a network of subject matter experts and freelance writers when needed.

Everyone involved understands the importance of clarity, simplicity, and delivering high-quality work at pace, particularly when deadlines are tight.

So, who are Real Projects’ elearning courses aimed at?
Our custom elearning is designed for companies with specific training needs. These projects often support compliance, operational processes, or internal systems. Our library courses are aimed at office workers, customer-facing teams, and first-line managers.

They’re designed to be used in the flow of work, not as one-off learning events, which makes them ideal for organisations that want practical, scalable content.

You’re a Norfolk-based business but are the courses available to everyone?
Yes, absolutely. While we’re based in Norfolk, we work with clients across the UK, Europe, and increasingly in North America. Our library is available in English, French, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. We’ve delivered custom content for organisations such as Roche, GSK, and Marks & Spencer.

We provide our library direct to customers, and they are also available through major platforms like OpenSesame and HowNow, and they’ve been used by global companies including EasyJet.

What are the latest courses you are offering and why are they an important addition to the range of courses you offer?
We’ve been expanding the library to include more compliance-focused content, covering topics such as cybersecurity, workplace safety, and data protection. These areas are frequently requested by our clients, and we wanted to approach them in a way that was faster to deliver and easier to localise. We’re also continuing to build courses in under-served areas like hospitality and retail communication, where most providers still rely on generic content.

Real Projects has launched Wellness, Wellbeing and Mindfulness courses

In addition, we’ve launched a new collection of wellbeing courses. Topics include mindfulness at work, coping with stress and anxiety, preventing information overload, practising gratitude, and working more mindfully. These courses are designed to support teams with simple, accessible content that helps people manage everyday challenges and improve wellbeing in a work context.

The collection includes practical tools and everyday techniques, from taking mindful breaks to writing more effective emails. It also looks at broader themes like emotional intelligence, coping with change, and the role of nature in supporting wellbeing. Each course is concise and focused, making it easy for teams to access support when they need it, without disrupting the flow of their working day.

How can people find out more about what you do?
The best place to start is our website, which includes more detail about our work and team. If you’re specifically interested in ready-made training, you can explore our multilingual elearning library at realprojects.co.uk/content-libraries. We also post regularly on LinkedIn with updates, insights, and practical advice for L&D teams.

What are your hopes for Real Projects?
We want to make it easier for companies to deliver great training at speed, without compromising on quality. Pricing and contracts are often too complex, and we’ve looked to resolve that problem. Our aim is to keep growing the library with new topics, more languages, and stronger support for compliance.

At the same time, we plan to continue working closely with clients who need custom training that solves very specific problems. In the long run, we want to be the trusted partner that helps organisations scale learning across different countries, teams, and formats.
