Fiona Gosden is the CEO of pregnancy loss charity, TimeNorfolk. Ahead of a 10th anniversary party and fundraiser on Saturday, she explains how the charity has grown over the past decade
During 2024, pregnancy loss charity TimeNorfolk is marking the ten years of being there for those experiencing mental health challenges as a result of pregnancy loss, baby loss and pregnancy choices. The counselling service has grown and last year it provided 2629 counselling sessions across Norfolk and Waveney. The charity offers face to face support at its centres in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn, and also offers online video and telephone support.
CEO Fiona Gosden says: ‘Thank you to everyone who has been involved with growing TimeNorfolk over the last decade. We would not be where we are today without your support – whether that is through financial support, volunteering or a client sharing their personal story.
‘The need for TimeNorfolk today is greater than it has been previously. We have seen pregnancy loss and baby loss gradually becoming a more socially welcome conversation topic and this has increased our referrals for counselling support. We believe that no one should journey their loss in silence and this is why our support is without a cost to clients.’
TimeNorfolk provides free support to anyone who has experienced pregnancy or baby loss, no matter how long ago. It could be a recent loss you are struggling coming to terms with or it could have happened a while ago, but you would like help to move forward.
The TimeNorfolk 10th Anniversary Party this Saturday (May 18) at the Moosey Art Gallery in Norwich will be an opportunity to celebrate the impact that TimeNorfolk has had over the past decade as well as raise funds to ensure that the charity is here for years to come – whether you’ve personally benefited from the services or simply wish to champion the cause. At the fundraiser you will have the chance to connect with an incredible community, while enjoying music, canapes and drinks.
The TimeNorfolk 10th Anniversary Party and fundraiser takes place on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 7.30-10.30pm, at the Moosey Art Gallery in Norwich. Dress code: smart casual; tickets: £20.
