Laura Ruddy, wife to former Norwich City and current Birmingham City goalkeeper John Ruddy, is using her eye for design in her new start-up business, Norfolk Luxury Furniture. Here, she explains how she wants to be able to cater to everyone’s budget
Laura Ruddy set up her new online company, Norfolk Luxury Furniture, after being disappointed at the lack of availability of quality, luxurious items at competitive prices, despite spending many hours searching the internet. Her new business specialises in supplying on-trend desirable items for the home and garden and was set up by Laura after she realised that there was a definite gap in the market – after sourcing the best quality items to launch, it was created at the end of 2022.
Laura is a qualified Interior Designer and combines her eye for design with her desire to supply the style of furniture and furnishings that will compliment a wide range of homes.
She says: ‘I started Norfolk Luxury Furniture up as I have a passion for interiors and love sourcing unique and different pieces for the home. I want to be able to cater to everyone’s budget and bring new and exciting things to people’s attention. I update the stock on my web shop regularly and I’m always on hand to answer any questions.’
Having already got some high-end suppliers on board, including Skyline Design, Liang and Eimil, and RV Astley to name a few, Laura and her team are working closely with other suppliers with a view to becoming one of the top online destinations for furniture and furnishings. Norfolk Luxury Furniture also offers a tailor-made interior design service.
As well as being busy with her business, Laura is wife to former Norwich City and current Birmingham City goalkeeper John Ruddy and a full-time Mum.
John Ruddy joined the Blues on a one-year contract in July 2022, having most recently been with Wolverhampton Wanderers. The former England international signed for Norwich in 2009 where he would twice be promoted to the Premier League, winning the players’ player of the season for the 2011/12 campaign when the Canaries finished 12th in the top flight.
She adds: ‘Having moved around for a number of years, we’ve been living in Norwich for 13 years. We love Norfolk and have never felt more at home’, says Laura. ‘My aim now is to help others to make the most of their home.’
