Norwich Ceramics Market – The Forum, Norwich
Forget the white-cube galleries and the “please don’t touch” signs — this December, pottery is breaking free. On Sunday 7th December 2025, The Forum becomes home to the first-ever Norwich Ceramics Market: a one-day clash of clay, creativity, and attitude.
The market is spearheaded by Nicole Flack, the Norfolk-based ceramic artist behind Cretaceous Creations. Her Pliosaur mugs have become cult collectors’ items in the indie ceramics underground, and now she’s taking that same rebellious energy to the heart of Norwich. Born in London but raised in Norfolk, Flack wanted to bring something new to the city’s creative scene: ceramics that are accessible, unpretentious, and anything but boring.
Over 50 makers from across the UK are rolling into Norwich, showing off everything from functional mugs and plates to wild pieces featuring dinosaurs, animals, and mythical creatures. This isn’t your granny’s pottery fair — it’s the launch of the Homegrown Pottery Society, a way of life that celebrates independent makers, weird ideas, and clay that makes you look twice.
With ceramics booming thanks to the Great Pottery Throw Down and the growing demand for handmade, local work, the timing couldn’t be sharper. The Forum’s iconic glass-and-brick space will become a playground for indie ceramics, just in time for Christmas.
