Priscilla Bacon Lodge end-of-life patients and their families are to receive free financial guidance thanks to a new partnership with Brancaster House Financial Planning. Director Shane Julian explains how the initiative comes after a close relation spent her final days at the hospice
End-of-life care patients, their families, and staff at Priscilla Bacon Lodge can now access expert financial planning, thanks to a new initiative by Norwich-based Brancaster House Financial Planning. Beginning this month, free two-weekly consultations will provide tailored financial guidance to help alleviate financial stress during life’s most challenging moments. By empowering individuals with personalised advice on pensions, savings, and other financial matters, this service aims to support the hospice community with greater peace of mind and financial security.
Shane Julian, Director of Brancaster House Financial Planning, says: ‘We understand the financial strain families face during life’s most difficult moments. I have a personal connection with the Hospice as a close relation spent her final days there last year. Through these sessions, we aim to ease that burden and empower individuals with the tools to navigate their financial futures.’
Priscilla Bacon Lodge, renowned for its compassionate care in Norfolk, welcomes this support as an opportunity to provide holistic assistance to its community. The hospice’s staff and volunteers can also benefit from advice on personal finance and retirement planning, ensuring their invaluable service is matched by financial stability.
Amy Wright, Event and Fundraising Coordinator for Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, says: ‘We are incredibly grateful to Brancaster House for offering this invaluable service to our patients and their families. Financial concerns can add significant stress during what is already a very difficult time. These free consultations will help provide clarity and reassurance, allowing people to focus on what truly matters.’
The initiative reflects Brancaster House’s ethos of ‘financial advice for all’ and its commitment to helping people make informed financial decisions, no matter their circumstances. Brancaster House Financial Planning are also an active part of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity’s Business 500 Club – a community of local businesses and organisations working together to support each other, whilst pledging to raise at least £1k for Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.
Nicholas Halls, Director of Brancaster House Financial Planning, adds: ‘We believe everyone deserves access to expert financial information, especially during life’s most challenging moments. By partnering with Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, we hope to ease the financial burdens faced by patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported and empowered to make informed decisions.’
