Uplifting stories for Norfolk and Suffolk
Norwich Castle and Norwich Cathedral have teamed up to host this free special event, celebrating medieval England’s second city. Discover two living history camps where you can meet costumed characters and enjoy hands-on activities.
At Norwich Castle Green, visit a 14th century camp created by Norwich and Norfolk Medieval Association for arrow fletching, candle dipping, combat skills and coin striking. Plus, musical performances from Pearl in the Egg.
At Norwich Cathedral Upper Green, discover re-enactment group Ordgar’s 10-11th century camp where you can make clay pots, braids, willow weavings, coin pouches, and play traditional games. See a demonstration of weapons, try on helmets and shields and learn to grind flour.
Plus pick up your trail map from the Castle or Cathedral and help Snap the Dragon find his mouse friends hiding in local businesses along the way – complete the route to receive a sticker.
