Uplifting stories for Norfolk and Suffolk
For anyone thinking about how to keep children entertained, Castle Quarter has announced a sporty programme of free summer events throughout August, to celebrate the Paris Olympics.
Norwich’s leading social, leisure and lifestyle destination is offering visitors a packed programme of free activities for summer 2024, helping to keep everyone entertained, boredom at bay and save money.
Castle Quarter’s White Lion Square area (outside Boots on the ground floor) will be the focal point for the mini-Olympics stadium, where all sporty activities will take place. There will be hurdles, foam archery, badminton and basketball and other sports and games with a fun twist, including footpool; a mash up between football and pool. A surf simulator will also be in the centre on Thursday 29th August, with the chance to catch waves while staying dry.
What’s on when?
All activities take place 12pm – 4pm, are free and with no need to book.
Anyone who participates in three events and collects three stamps in their Olympic passport, will receive a special gold medal and be entered into a draw to win a day out at Castle Quarter, worth up to £250.
