Uplifting stories for Norfolk and Suffolk
The eleventh annual Hempstead Arts Exhibition and Sale returns to Hempstead-by-Holt for another year and is bigger than ever before.
The exhibition, which takes place on Saturday 31st August 2024 and Sunday 1st September 2024, will be held at Hempstead-by-Holt Village Hall in north Norfolk. The exhibition this year has attracted over 200 exhibits created by more than 35 local artists.
The money raised from the sales will be donated to Hempstead Church for the provision of a disabled toilet and redecoration of the Church.
Ian Summers, organiser of the event, commented: “We are excited to be hosting this popular event for the eleventh year. We are delighted to welcome so many local artists and enable them to showcase their work. This year about half of the artists who have registered to bring their exhibits along are new to Hempstead Arts.”
In the first ten years of the exhibition, a total of 140 artists exhibited their work and over £25,000 has been raised for the local church. Last year a total of £3,042 was raised for the church.
Ian continued: “With the beautiful inspiration that Norfolk provides, from nature and wildlife to stunning landscapes, the artists have captured beauty through a variety of artistic styles, including photography, sculptures, fine art and mixed mediums. We look forward to welcoming the artists and visitors who we hope will find some lovely art to take home.”
The exhibition will take place at Hempstead-by-Holt Village Hall, The Street, Hempstead, NR25 6TL between 10am and 5pm over the weekend of Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September 2024.
Admission is free. Refreshments and light lunches will be available throughout the day.
