Why are we all so ‘anti’ ageing?

October 10, 2023 Leave a Comment

In this month’s column for Folk Features, skin health expert Louise Thomas-Minns focuses on the launch of her brand new healthy ageing product – and questions our attitude to ageing

Innovation is, in our opinion, an important part of any industry. The ability to stay ‘up to date’ with the latest research and advances but also, in our case, to innovate every time we treat a client for their skin health. This month we are focusing on ‘innovation’ as one of the core values of our brand here at Louise Thomas Skin Care as we launch the third product in our signature skin care range.

Hero Serum #1 Healthy Ageing

It made us truly think about how, even though this serum, ‘Hero serum #1 Healthy Ageing’, was formulated eight years ago, we were thinking ahead into how skin care would, could and has innovated over the years and how ageing would be perceived.

I can remember being in the lab with the chemist here in the UK back then having sent through my very detailed brief for the range and discussing how I wasn’t going to relate to the term ‘anti-ageing’ with this serum.

Clients were constantly taking to me (and still are) about how they wanted to look and be the best, healthiest version of themselves for their age and were shying away from more invasive treatments and fillers to achieve that.

Roll forward to an era where we are seeing more and more people embrace and celebrate their age; not be so worried about greying hair or lines and wrinkles; look to practicing habits that are going to work towards a healthier, stronger and more mobile older age.

So, we applaud innovation, change, and evolvement, always staying in our lane of expertise and – with the science to back up our viewpoint – hope that with this new introduction to our skin care range we can further encourage people to look to ‘Healthy Ageing’.

Hero Serum #1 Healthy Ageing is available to pre-order now, to be delivered by the end of October 2023. Visit louisethomasskincare.co.uk. Looking ahead to next month, Louise will be hosting a Louise Thomas Skin Care Festive Masterclass at Jarrolds on Thursday November 23, 2023, at 6pm. Tickets: £15 (£10 redeemable on Louise Thomas Skin Care on the evening) and drink on arrival.
