Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing – Castle Quarter, Norwich

What has long fluffy ears, velvety soft muzzles and is looking forward to meeting families at Castle Quarter this July?
The team from Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing will be making a welcome return to the centre on Thursday 30th July with their adorable four-legged friends.
From 10am to 1pm, visitors can head to the Castle Meadow entrance to meet the therapy-trained donkeys, whose gentle nature and friendly personalities have made them a firm favourite following previous appearances at the centre.
And this time they make a return as VIP guests, having just appeared on screen with Traitors and Strictly Come Dancing TV presenter, Claudia Winkleman.
Featuring in a short film just released, the Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing, which is a social enterprise based in Norfolk, starred as one of the good causes supported by National Lottery funding.
It highlighted the organisation’s inspiring work, spreading joy to people living in care home settings and hospitals, and visiting children with special educational needs.
These regular visits bring invaluable comfort and companionship to all ages. Something that was clear to see on screen as Claudia Winkleman interviewed founder and director Sarah McPherson.
During their visit to Castle Quarter this July, families will have the opportunity to meet the donkeys up close for free, give them plenty of gentle strokes and learn more about the important wellbeing work carried out by the organisation.
The team will also be bringing along their own merchandise, with every purchase helping to support their work in our local communities.
