Rowe & Williams’ current show ’Three Suffolk Painters’ celebrates the work of Rowland Suddaby (1912-1972) who lived and worked in Suffolk from the 1940s where he was part of the Recording Britain Scheme. His work is shown alongside the abstract works of Frank Beanland (1936-2019) and Christian Aldridge (1976-). The display includes work from the 1930s to the present day by three inventive Suffolk modern painters.
Rowe & Williams is a gallery based in Yoxford, Suffolk that celebrates the art of East Anglia through a series of changing displays throughout the year. The gallery sells both Modern British Art (c.1910 onwards) and contemporary work. Rowe & Williams is a husband and wife team and were previously both museum directors with Matthew (Rowe) having worked at Tate and Hilary (Williams) having led a project to be shortlisted to Museum of the Year.
