Five golden tickets are being hidden in locations across Norfolk ahead of Pensthorpe’s Giant Egg Hunt!
The reserve is calling for people to get their Easter off to a cracking start on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March 2025. The five golden tickets will be hidden across the county with clues to their location shared on the Pensthorpe Facebook page at 9am on Saturday 22 March. The five lucky people who find the tickets will win a family day pass to enjoy over the Easter holidays, plus £30 to spend in the Courtyard Café. Even more excitingly, the first family to tag Pensthorpe on their Facebook page will also win an annual family pass, worth £260.
Pensthorpe’s Easter egg-stravaganza, The Giant Egg Hunt, will run from the 5-22nd April 2025. The 700-acre nature reserve is well renowned for its exceptional family friendly events, and Easter 2025 is set to be the best yet.
The Giant Egg Hunt trail, sees large 3D eggs placed around the reserve on a fully immersive, multi sensory trail. A range of nature-based activities for the family are planned, including Flamingo talks, craft sessions, pond dipping, nest building and the welcome return of our Explorer Tours, where you’ll get to see parts of Pensthorpe you can’t visit by foot. In addition, children and adults alike will be able to hunt for golden eggs each day, with prizes for the children.
New for 2025, Pensthorpe are also welcoming lambs to the flock! This seasonal treat allows visitors to spend time watching the lambs with their mothers, specially designed to give you the perfect view of the new families springing into Spring! There is also an authentic Shepherds Hut to show how shepherds lived in days gone by. Alongside the Easter events, children will be able to enjoy Hootz House indoor play (with a bookable slot) and Wild Rootz playground all day, as well as meandering through the gardens and wetlands themselves.
On Good Friday and Easter Saturday there is the opportunity to build your very own Easter Lamb or Bunny with sessions running throughout the afternoon. This activity us an additional £15 and pre-bookable.
The reserve is one of only two attractions in east Anglia offering a Rainy Day Guarantee. Adults, children and seniors receive a free return ticket, if their first visit is disrupted by over an hour of continuous rain, to use within four weeks.
