Uplifting stories for Norfolk and Suffolk
This summer, Chantry Place Norwich is partnering with the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation and Run Norwich to host a free family-friendly ‘Sporting Summer’ event at Chantry Place.
From Saturday 20th July until Tuesday 3rd September 2024, visitors will be able to enjoy a daily sports-themed trail, plus a range of fun and free sporting activities at Chantry Place on select dates throughout the summer holidays.
The Community Sports Foundation will host free activities every Tuesday on the lower ground floor of Chantry Place near Frasers, including toe tap challenges, skipping challenges, console fun and being the ‘gaffer’ and hosting post-match style interviews. Plus, competitions and photo opportunities.
Every Wednesday in the summer holidays, Run Norwich will host free family fun at Chantry Place, including a Lotus car appearance on Chantry Square, speed bounce, treadmill and speed incline challenges, and more. Plus, competitions and photo opportunities and an opportunity to purchase Run Norwich merchandise.
Plus, every day at Chantry Place, enjoy a free sport themed trail, starting from Deichmann, learning sports facts and being in with a chance to enter a competition to win £600 of Sports Direct vouchers, courtesy of Chantry Place, with a gold, silver and bronze prize drawn at the end of summer, with the top prize of £300.
Alongside the free sporting activities and trail, there will be a chance for people to feel like an athlete and have a selfie on the Chantry Place podium, and see giant sports medals designed by local primary schools to decorate the Centre this summer.
