Mind Aid Festival

March 25 - March 31

Mind Aid is a small festival designed to raise awareness of everyday mental health difficulties,
Situated within a visual arts exhibition, Mind Aid will present a series of performances and workshops in the art space itself throughout the week.
These workshops will be dedicated to teaching people from all walks of life tools and techniques by which they can help manage their own mental health as well as generating conversations so as to reduce the stigma around the topic for the everyday individual.
In the last week of March (25th – 31st) organisers will transform The Undercroft Gallery in Norwich city centre into a creative arts hub; holding a week-long art exhibition with intermittent workshops, talks and performances within the space.
This will act as a kind of creative ‘safe space’ where individuals can learn new tools and techniques that will help them combat their day-to-day struggles.
A past event included workshops such as Live Music, Yoga, Meditation, Life Drawing, Zine-making, Binaural Therapy, Live music, Ecstatic Dance and Laughter Yoga.
This Year organisers hope to reach many of the thriving small businesses around Norwich to get a truly eclectic mix of awesome workshops. So far they have been joined by the likes of Friends of the EarthHotpod YogaAmoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist centreHeavenly GardensBlack Dog Music ProjectA Human SpaceSomatic Health, Yoga with Tracy, Abby Hoffman Yoga, Create Paint Draw, Drop in & Draw, Drum Circles and more.
All of the activities in the event are free and have been completely donated by members of the community.
