Uplifting stories for Norfolk and Suffolk
Join Victoria Howell, Clinical Menopause Specialist, and Michelle Howard, Yoga Teacher and MY Menopause Yoga Teacher, for a day of Education, Connection and Relaxation, on Sunday 6th October 9.30am-5pm.
All women experience menopause in very different ways and the multitude of symptoms can be a challenge to understand and navigate on a daily basis. As two very experienced individuals in the women’s health field, Victoria Howell and Michelle Howard will guide you through a day of movement, education and nourishment to empower and guide you to through your menopause journey.
Schedule for the day:
9:30am – Arrival
10 am – Introduction
10:15 am – Yoga with Menopause Yoga Teacher, Michelle (60 mins) – a session to uplift, strengthen and energise including seated and standing poses to suit all abilities. It will include breathing exercises to soother the nervous system and to release menopause rage, and will finish with a lovely relaxation.
11:15am – Comfort break
11:30am – Menopause – Everything you need to know about menopause and much more! Covering stages and types of menopause and the impact of hormonal changes; how to get a diagnosis, symptoms and treatment options; how to advocate for oneself with medical professionals; risks and benefits and the importance of the role of lifestyle factors. Will include fun group activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
1pm – Nourishing Lunch from the Be Well Café
2pm – Menopause – The bits about menopause that you didn’t know you needed to know! Covering pelvic and genitourinary healthy in menopause; how does peri and post menopause affect our pelvic floor organs; pelvic anatomy and pelvic floor dysfunction; urinary incontinence; diagnosis, treatment and management of genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM); vulva skin and libido issues.
3.10pm – Tea, Coffee and Cake break
3:30pm – Yoga with Menopause Yoga Teacher, Michelle (75 mins) – a slower and calming session focusing on reducing stress and the concept of letting go, reducing feelings of overwhelm and anxiety. The session will finish with Yoga Nidra, guided relaxation, breathwork and mediation improving your wellbeing and sleep.
