Beeswax Workshops – Sunnyfields Apiaries, Hedenham

October 19 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Sunnyfields Apiaries, nestled on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in Hedenham near Bungay, is hosting a series of crafting workshops that make use of one of nature’s most versatile materials: beeswax.

Led by Stacy, a professional beekeeper and qualified floral designer, the workshops provide a hands-on approach to working with natural beeswax. Visitors will enjoy learning traditional skills while immersed in the peaceful rural surroundings of the apiary’s bespoke workshop.

Sunnyfields offers a variety of classes this autumn, starting with the “From Hive to Home” workshop. In this session, participants will learn how to hand-roll beeswax candles, make decorative beeswax ornaments, and craft eco-friendly wax wraps—a sustainable alternative to cling film. The practical, homemade items offer a wonderful way to bring warmth and nature into the home.

For those with a festive spirit, the “Christmas Crafting Afternoon” is a must. The workshop, set against a backdrop of twinkling lights and seasonal scents, invites guests to create Christmas table candles, tree decorations, and intricately designed fire lighters—so beautiful that you might hesitate to use them.

These handcrafted items make ideal gifts or special additions to your own holiday décor.
For a more traditional touch, Sunnyfields also offers a “Wreath & Wax Workshop” session. This workshop features wreaths made from willow grown on the apiary and decorated with locally sourced foliage and handmade beeswax ornaments, offering a fresh take on the traditional holiday door decoration.

Each workshop, priced at £45 per person, provides a creative escape in the tranquil setting of Sunnyfields Apiaries. Stacy’s warm, welcoming approach is often noted in the glowing 5-star reviews she’s received on Google and Facebook. Her deep passion for beekeeping and crafting ensures an experience that is not only educational but also truly enjoyable.

Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or simply a chance to slow down and embrace the season, these beeswax workshops offer a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature. For more information or to book a place, visit Sunnyfields Apiaries online at www.sunnyfieldsbees.com/workshops
