Uplifting stories for Norfolk and Suffolk
Staff from across Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service will be getting in a lather as they aim to take on a fundraising challenge in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.
Crews and other service staff will be based at 27 fire stations across Norfolk for the simultaneous car wash event. They will be armed with sponges, buckets and gallons of water on Saturday 26th October, with crews from 30 stations alongside staff from NFRS’s professional services teams rolling up their sleeves to help.
Everyone is welcome to bring down their car for a rinse and make a donation to the charity in return for a gleaming set of wheels.
The event is this year’s Norfolk Chief’s Challenge, set by Chief Fire Officer Ceri Sumner.
Events will be taking place across the county, with some fire stations also throwing in extra fundraising activities such as refreshments and raffles, as well as the offer of getting some free safety advice to help keep you safe at home and on the roads.
Simultaneous events on Saturday 26th October are all 10am to 2pm at the fire station unless otherwise stated below. Car washes will take place at:
Please note all events are subject to change due to operational incidents. A donation from Delta Fire has meant there is no cost to NFRS in buying the washing materials and so 100% of the car wash money will go to The Fire Fighters Charity.
