Pumpkin Festival – Pensthorpe, Norfolk

October 25 - November 3

Norfolk nature reserve, Pensthorpe, is set to transform into a Pumpkin filled land as it prepares to host its first-ever Pumpkin Festival over the October Half term.

The reserve has previously offered additional Pumpkin carving in a small-scale way, but this year after much success previously is expanding this offering by creating a brand new patch with thousands of Pumpkins to choose from, along with lots of photo opportunities, toffee apple station, marshmallow toasting and so much more. Plus each child receives as standard a free Pumpkin to pick, collect and then carve in their dedicated carving barn!

Mini witches and wizards can enjoy a whole 10 days of Pumpkin related fun with Flamingo talks, spooky crafts, a themed trail along with access to the brand new Pumpkin patch between 25th October – 3rd November.

As well as a bewitching concoction of fun activities, Pensthorpe is hosting a competition for local schools and nurseries to build the ultimate scarecrow with visitors voting to the Pumpkin Festival voting for their favourite design. All scarecrows will be displayed at Pensthorpe over the half term and the winning entry will be invited on a class trip to the reserve.

The reserve is one of only 2 attractions in east Anglia that offers a Rainy Day Guarantee, where adults, children and seniors receive a free return ticket, if their first visit is disrupted by over an hour of continuous rain, to use within four weeks.

Tickets for the event are available from www.pensthorpe.com for £15.95 for adults and £16.95
for children (three – 16 years old). Under threes enter for free.
