Wedding Open Day – The Swan at Lavenham
Couples searching for a truly romantic wedding venue are invited to step inside one of Suffolk’s most exquisite historic hotels to discover how their dreams can be brought to life.
Set within a beautifully preserved 15th-century timber-framed building, The Swan at Lavenham is hosting a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 22 February 2026 between 11.30am and 3.30pm, offering an afternoon of inspiration for couples planning their perfect day.
Guests will be free to explore the venue at their own pace, with all three private wedding rooms open for viewing, alongside a selection of the hotel’s elegant bedrooms. Throughout the day, couples will have the opportunity to meet The Swan’s dedicated wedding team, discuss layouts, menus and bespoke options, and imagine how the venue’s atmospheric spaces could be transformed for their own celebration.
Visitors will enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz, sample delicious canapés, and take home a wedding goodie bag filled with inspiration.

Couples can explore The Swan’s three private rooms, each suited to different styles of celebration:
The McCallum is ideal for intimate gatherings of up to 20, The Suffolk is perfect for celebrations of up to 30 and The Woolhall offers space for up to 40 guests.
The Gallery Restaurant is also available for larger gatherings, accommodating up to 100 guests.
During the Open Day, the team will guide couples through The Swan’s range of thoughtfully designed Wedding Packages, including:
- Sapphire Package – a semi-exclusive option for smaller weddings
- Cerulean Package – a half-exclusive package for mid-size celebrations
- Azure Package – full exclusive use of the hotel for larger weddings
Intimate weddings will also be showcased, reflecting a growing trend towards smaller, more personal celebrations.
Entry to the Wedding Open Day is free, and there is no obligation to book in advance. Couples who choose to register their attendance will be entered into a prize draw to win a complimentary bottle of bubbly on arrival.
The Swan’s much-loved two AA Rosette, Gallery Restaurant, will also be open for Sunday lunch; booking in advance is essential.
