The Mayor’s Ball – Ipswich

March 8

Every year the Mayor of Ipswich hosts a special charity event. The Mayor’s Charity Ball brings together the community of Ipswich to support local charities to achieve great things, and this year is no different.

The Mayor’s two Ipswich-based, Suffolk-wide charities are:

Inspire: We believe in youth.

Vision: For every young person to be empowered to raise their ambitions and realise their potential.

Brave Futures: Be believed; be empowered.

Vision: To provide a specialist support service for children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse.

Both charities are focused on supporting young people.

This prestigious ball will be held in the Grand Hall at Ipswich Corn Exchange on Friday 8 March. It will start at 7pm with a reception in the Town Hall council chamber, where drinks and canapés will be served, and a string quartet will play.

Guests will then go through to the Grand Hall for a three-course meal prepared by top chef Jamie Lee Smith, owner of Venue 16.

Comperes for the evening are popular broadcasters Mark Murphy MBE. There will be an auction of highly desirable lots with more entertainment during the evening, culminating with dancing into the night with J.S & the Lockerbillies.

Ticket prices are £75 per person or £700 for a table of 10, with tickets available at Ipswich Theatres.
