Skulduggery in Stowmarket crime fiction festival – Stowmarket Library

The Skulduggery in Stowmarket crime fiction festival has been announced and will take place on Saturday 27 April at Stowmarket Library, with a series of top live author events.

The popular festival is organised and run by Stowmarket Library and this will be its sixth year. Previous guests have included authors Tony Kent, William Shaw, Rory Clements, Simon Brett and many others.

Skulduggery in Stowmarket offers people the chance to meet their favourite crime fiction authors, hear about their upcoming books and ask any questions.

The full programme for 2024 is:

9.30AM: Susi (SJI) Holliday, Scottish crime and horror author of the Banktoun trilogy and the Trans-Siberian railway thriller Violet, which is currently being adapted for film.

10.45AM: Lauren (L.C.) North, author of book club thrillers The Ugly Truth and Clickbait.

12.00PM: Tim Sullivan, screenwriter and director who’s passion for crime fiction comes through in his popular DS George Cross series.

2.15PM: Vaseem Khan, Chair of the Crime Writer’s Association and author of the Baby Ganesh Agency series and the Malabar House historical crime novels.

3.30PM: Olivia Kiernan, Irish writer and author of the Frankie Sheehan series, which has been optioned for TV.

4.45PM: James Henry, thriller novelist and author of the DI Nick Lowry series which is set in Essex.

Individual tickets are £5.00, with all-day tickets available for £15.00. Tickets can be purchased from Stowmarket Library or online via TicketSource.

All funds raised from ticket sales will go towards supporting the important work Suffolk Libraries does to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and promote literacy across the county.
