Tom Hassey is the organiser of Norwich Food Festival, a new event taking place at The Forum this Sunday. Here, the co-owner of Norfolk-based Daily Grind Coffee explains all
Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Tom, co-owner of Daily Grind Coffee. We operate a Coffee pod trailer that trades all over East Anglia at various events in the region. I love the food and drink scene in Norfolk, and I’m delighted to be showcasing the very best of East Anglia at The Forum this Sunday.
Who else is on the team?
Daily Grind Coffee is a family team, many of which have helped me organise the event for 2026. Primarily my sister, Megan!
What led you to launching Norwich Food Festival this year? Do you all have a foodie background?
We opened Daily Grind in the Spring of 2024 and was introduced to the amazing food and drink scene in the region. The primary purpose of the Norwich Food Festival is to showcase a wide range of producers in East Anglia, just before the start of the 2026 event season.
When and where is it happening and what can people expect on the day?
The event takes place in one of Norwich’s most iconic venues, The Forum. We have around 45 amazing local producers, as well as some fantastic street food for people to enjoy. On top of that, we have wine and cheese tasting sessions throughout the day… with the best part – it’s FREE!
Would you like to mention a few of the food and drink vendors who will be there? Are they all going to be from this region?
There is a full list of vendors on our website, norwichfoodfestival.com, but expect a plethora of unique and amazing stalls, from fresh pasta and home-made tiramisu, to Norfolk wine and locally grown chilli’s… we have it all!
Will it be the first of many, do you think?
I hope this is the start of something special and something we can grow annually, across the city.
