Wedding Open Day – The Swan at Lavenham
Couples seeking a truly romantic backdrop for their wedding are invited to explore a historic 15th-century hotel in the heart of Suffolk.
The Swan at Lavenham is opening the doors to a special Wedding Open Day on Sunday 19 October 2025 to showcase the historic 15th-century luxury hotel and spa in an afternoon of inspiration.
From 11.30am to 3.30pm, guests can wander through the atmospheric spaces where ceremonies and celebrations take place, with all three private rooms open for viewing alongside a selection of bedrooms.
The day offers the chance to imagine how the iconic timber-framed venue could be transformed for their own celebration while exploring options with a dedicated wedding team and a hand-picked selection of trusted suppliers showcasing everything from décor to photography.
Visitors will enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz, sample delicious canapés, and take home a goodie bag filled with inspiration.
Entry to the Wedding Open Day is free and there’s no need to book in advance.
Guests can explore The McCallum, suitable for parties of up to 20, The Suffolk, which is best suited to parties of up to 30 and The Woolhall with ample space for parties of up to 40.
Also available to view is the hotel’s Gallery restaurant, which on the day will be hosting most of the venue’s recommended suppliers, but is also perfect for large gatherings of up to 100 guests.
The Swan also has a special offer available for couples choosing to wed within one of the private hire rooms until March 2026.
Simply choose your wedding package, your food and beverage package and your private room based on your guest count and book a date before the end of March 2026 to receive complimentary welcome cocktails and canapés following your ceremony for you and your guests worth up to £900 depending on the size of your party.
Whilst there is no need to book to attend, those who do will be offered a chance to win a complimentary bottle of bubbly on arrival.
