The Guardians of the Workhouse have decreed there will be a Christmas – complete with visiting peddlars and fun for all! Step back into the Victorian setting of Mitford and Launditch Union Workhouse for frivolity and fun but, remember – Father Christmas might have a spy or two out to check on everyone’s good behaviour. Explore the museum displays, enjoy fun free crafts and activities, find festive treats and trinkets to purchase (mind out for any cheeky pickpockets!) and get a chance to see Father Christmas aboard the 1899 Panhard car. Pop into the Mardler’s Rest Cafe for hot and cold drinks, a hearty lunch, or something sweet. Stallholders will be offering mulled cider and apple juice, delicious locally baked buns, and luxury hot chocolates. If hoping for a little last minute gift shopping or stocking stuffing, you will find seasonal
decorations, bottled beer, preserves, handcrafted artwork, and a little Gressenhall-grown mistletoe and greenery to take home for your festive table.
