October half-term events – Castle Quarter, Norwich

October 26 - October 31

Spooky surprises, family-friendly entertainment and fundraising for a local charity are all part of a packed programme at Castle Quarter this October half-term.

Norwich’s social, leisure and lifestyle destination is introducing a new interactive experience to help everyone celebrate spooky season, with a ‘Knock Knock Halloween’ event taking place daily from 11am to 3pm, Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 October. Find the free experience in White Lion Square, outside Boots, on the lower ground floor. Designed to be frightfully good fun for all ages, visitors will choose a mysterious door, give it a knock, and see what is waiting behind it. Expect prizes, treats galore and lots of silly surprises, with the Castle Quarter team carefully planning an event that is just the right level of scary and one that promises to deliver more giggles than screams. As with all of Castle Quarter’s seasonal events, this October half-term sees the centre partner with another local charity. This time it’s The Hamlet, which provides services for children, young people and adults living with disabilities and complex health needs across Norwich and Norfolk. The ‘Knock Knock Experience’ is free, making it affordable for all, with the option of making a donation to the charity.

There is also more going on earlier in the week when The Hamlet team bring a silent disco experience into the centre. The Hamlet’s Let’s Dance silent disco fundraiser is happening on Monday 26 October, running from 11am to 2pm. Designed to be inclusive for all, it will give families and friends the chance to step onto the dancefloor together, bust out their best moves and raise money for a very important cause. At just £3 a ticket, visitors can book a time to boogie together in advance or turn up on the day. To guarantee your space at the silent disco, email admin@thehamletcharity.org.uk

And finally, Castle Quarter will welcome back the ever-popular Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing. Everyone’s favourite furry friends will be visiting Castle Gardens from 10am until 1pm on Monday 26 October, for meet-and-greets that never fail to give everyone a wellbeing boost.
