Residents in North Lynn are being encouraged to come along to a Creating Communities event at The Beacon Church on 3 February, between 10am and 2pm.
The drop-in event will bring together a range of partners, including the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, its Lily service and Beat Your Bills roadshow, Alive West Norfolk, Community Action Norfolk, North Lynn Food Hub, Freebridge Community Housing and the Well Being on Wheels bus to provide advice and information on services, facilities and activities in the area.
Lily, the council’s service that helps people to connect with others, will be there to help people understand what support and help is in the area to avoid issues of loneliness and isolation, and also to inspire people about the sorts of activities and clubs that could be created in the area for other people to get involved with, whether that’s a knitting and crochet club, art group, quizzes, bingo or a local history group.
The Beat Your Bills Roadshow will be dropping by with energy saving advice and other support to help people facing cost of living issues. The local Rapid Relief Team will be giving away goodie bags and the Wellness on Wheels bus will be doing free flu jabs.
Representatives from the borough council’s corporate projects team will also be available to answer any questions about the recent residential developments in North Lynn.
