Let’s Dance national campaign – DanceEast and Ipswich School of Dancing

March 2

DanceEast and Ipswich School of Dancing invite everyone to get dancing with the rest of the
UK on Sunday 2 March, as part of the Let’s Dance national campaign. Initiated by Angela
Rippon, Let’s Dance aims to inspire everyone in the UK to embrace dance as a way to
improve their health, connect with others, and have fun. Their mission is to get more people
dancing together, regardless of age, fitness level, or experience.

Both DanceEast and Ipswich School of Dancing will be throwing their doors open between
9.15am -3pm for anyone to take part in free workshops, meet the teams, and enjoy some
refreshments. From Ballroom to Ballet, Hip Hop to Contemporary, you can choose to get
involved in just one workshop or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try them all.

At DanceEast, activities will take place at the Jerwood DanceHouse on Ipswich waterfront.
You can take a tour of their world-class building, including a glimpse inside their studio
theatre.

Ipswich School of Dance’s studio on Bond Street, Ipswich, will be open for you to find out all
about the world of Ballroom and Latin, as well as finding out more about the opportunities for
classes, competitions and shows.

This joyous day of dance ends with a Let’s Dance Ipswich! Finale, taking place at Ipswich
School of Dancing at 2pm, where you can learn some simple choreography and perform
live for the nation on Dance TV.

To find out more information about the free workshops available at each venue, head to
