K-pop party – Castle Quarter, Norwich

Families are invited to experience an unforgettable day of music, dance and interactive entertainment as Castle Quarter in Norwich hosts a high-energy celebration of K-pop culture this half-term.

On Wednesday 27th May, from 10am to 4pm, fans can look forward to a packed programme of live performances and themed experiences, perfect for K-pop devotees of all ages or those simply curious about the global phenomenon.

Whether you’re a devoted K-pop fan yourself, have children who have been captivated by the KPop Demon Hunters craze, a film released last year which has topped global Netflix most-watched lists and dominated the music charts, everyone can join in the fun.

All the activities brought to Norwich by Castle Quarter will be free to enjoy, which means this unique party event provides the perfect, affordable day out for families looking for exciting things to do together during the school holidays. Norfolk & Waveney Mind is an event partner and donations to the charity will be welcome on the day.

WHAT’S HAPPENING ON 27 TH MAY?

K-pop mini concerts (White Lion Square, near Boots)
The hugely popular Oscar-winning KPop Demon Hunters film has sparked a whole generation of dedicated K-pop fans, and in Norwich this May there’s a fantastic party planned, where everyone can come together to celebrate.

Catch the Castle Quarter K-pop mini concerts throughout the day as a tribute act takes to the stage, featuring iconic tracks and high-energy choreography. Between the mini concerts, the performers will be available to meet and greet fans for hugs, hi-fives and those all-important selfies.

 11am – 11.45am: Live performance
 12.30pm – 1.30pm: Meet and greet
 2pm – 2.45pm: Live performance
 3.30pm – 4pm: Meet and greet

Supernatural feline meet and greets
Also joining in the K-pop party will be a playful blue tiger mascot, who will be making regular appearances throughout the day, offering fun photo opportunities and memorable moments for visitors of all ages.

Silent disco (St Johns, near Putt Putt Social)
Keep the K-pop party going as you grab a pair of headphones and dance along freely to your favourite hits at the Castle Quarter silent disco experience. Bring the whole family and show us your best moves!

Glow-up zone (Level 2, near Drive Lounge)
Inspired by K-pop looks? Step into the spotlight and transform your look with K-pop inspired styling! Go wild with glitter makeup, sparkle effects and creative hair braiding – then strut  back to the dancefloor to show off your new look. Spaces are limited so don’t be late!

Dress up and pose
Superfans can play around with costumes and props too – a chance to channel your inner idol with themed outfits and accessories! Then, taking inspiration from your favourite K-pop star, strike a pose and snap a photo.
