Ipswich Hospital Band presents Fire Crackers – The Finale. St Peter’s by the Waterfront, College Street, Ipswich

A much-loved annual charity concert is set to return to Ipswich this spring, with the Ipswich Hospital Band performing Fire Crackers – The Finale on Friday 20 March 2026 at St Peter’s by the Waterfront, College Street, Ipswich.
The event raises vital funds for the Fire Fighters Charity, which provides lifelong physical, psychological and social support to serving and retired fire and rescue personnel, and their families.
Organised by longstanding band member and former Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Group Manager Sally Hammond, who retired last year after more than 30 years of service, the concert has grown in popularity over several years and remains a favourite with the fire and rescue community and local residents.
The night will be hosted by Master of Ceremonies and former SFRS Deputy Chief Fire Officer Ken Seager. This year’s programme will also feature guest vocals from SFRS District Command Coordinator Abbie McQuitty, who will join the band for a special performance.
The concert begins at 7.30pm and promises an uplifting evening of live music, community spirit and celebration – all in support of a cause that means a great deal to many across the fire and rescue family.
Raffle and prize donations
A raffle will take place during the evening, with all proceeds going directly to the Fire Fighters Charity.
