Harleston & Waveney Art Trail – Norfolk

May 17 - May 18

Harleston & Waveney Art Trail (HWAT) will take place throughout the valley that forms the border between Norfolk and Suffolk this month as it celebrates its 21st year.
The diverse group of twenty-five artists will open their studio doors to visitors for five days across the weekends of 17-18 and 24-26 May, including the late bank holiday Monday.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors alike to explore how and where artists work in the stunning landscapes of south Norfolk and north Suffolk.
Entry to each of the artists individual studios is free and visitors will get a unique insight into where the artists make their artwork.
The artists work in a range of artworks including contemporary and traditional paintings, clay sculpture, book art, wire sculpture, batik, mixed media, drawings, collage and textiles.

The artist’s studios are dotted within a ten-mile radius of Harleston in many attractive village locations such as Brockdish, Starston, Wortwell, Flixton, Earsham, Mendham, Weybread, St Cross, Needham, Denton, Topcroft, Hedenham, Ditchingham, Thwaite, Bungay and Mettingham.

Trail brochures listing all the artists and their studio locations will be available from mid-April. They can be picked up from any branch of Durrants, The Cut in Halesworth, The Bell Gallery in Bungay, Woodware picture framers in Beccles, Craftco in Southwold, Makers 21 in Diss, the Pennoyer Centre in Pulham St Mary and many other locations across the region.
The brochure and all the studio details are also available on the HWAT website at www.hwat.org.uk.
All studios are open across the two weekends between 10am and 5pm each day.
The event is sponsored by Durrants Estate Agents.
