From the Cradle to the Grave – Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich
Join us for a night of historical Halloween horror on 30th October from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Meet Nehemiah Bacon a Resurrectionist (or better known as a grave robber) and discover how he benefits medicine and maybe he will disclose the sleazier side of this trade! Then meet author Eve Bacon, as she tells tales of Britain’s baby farmers. Learn the sad fate of some illegitimate babies in Victorian and early 20th Century Britain and find out a Victorian’s journey from the cradle… to the grave!
Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival. A bar will be available throughout the evening offering a range of drinks for purchase. Please note that this event is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. ID will be required for entry.
For those that are interested, we will be running attic tours at the end of the evening. This is an optional extra included in your ticket. Please be aware that due to space in the attic you may have to wait for your turn.
This event includes a tour of the attic and walking around the Mansion, including on the first floor. There is no lift, and only the ground floor is accessible. For directions and details about facilities, please refer to our access information: Access at Christchurch Mansion
