Food for Thought, the free family-friendly sessions aimed at helping residents learn new cooking skills, swap recipe ideas, and discover ways to eat healthy and nutritional food while also saving money; are to return to King’s Lynn.
Lily, a service that is owned and managed by the borough council, is organising 12 weeks of interactive sessions. London Road Methodist Church, 20 County Court Road, PE30 5EJ, is to host the weekly drop-in meetings between 9:30am and 11:30 every Tuesday from 17 September 2024.
Each week there will be tips about how to cook healthy and tasty food without breaking the bank. The themes to be focused on are listed below, booking is not required:
Week 1 (17/9): Breakfast
Week 2 (24/9): Lunch
Week 3 (1/10): Dinner
Week 4 (8/10): Snacks
Week 5 (15/10): Batch cooking
Week 6 (22/10): Dried and tinned foods
Week 7 (29/10): Autumnal cooking
Week 8 (5/11): Dietary alternatives
Week 9 (12/11): Low cost desserts
Week 10 (19/11): Fakeaway meals
Week 11 (26/11): Low calorie cooking
Week 12 (3/12): Festive savings
