Celebrating Ipswich Memories at The Hold, Ipswich

Home Instead is proud to host a heartwarming community event at The Hold (Suffolk
Archives), inviting people to come together and share their cherished memories of Ipswich.
This special Share Session is a chance for people of all ages to contribute to the town’s
living history. Visitors are encouraged to bring along old photographs of Ipswich, which will
be displayed for everyone to enjoy, sparking conversation and nostalgia.
A highlight of the day will be the opportunity to see the work of one of our wonderful clients,
Valerie Irwin, whose evocative sketches documenting the demolition and reconstruction of
the Ipswich waterfront are currently on display at The Hold. Valerie spent years capturing the
changing face of the town through her art.
We are also pleased to welcome The Shaftesbury Group, the newly commissioned
dementia care and support service for East Suffolk. This will be their first public event since
launching the service in April, offering a chance for the community to meet the team and
learn more about the support available.
Whether you have a story to tell, a photo to share, or simply want to listen and enjoy, we’d
love to see you there.
