The town will be alive with words, ideas, laughter, storytelling and community as Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival returns.

At the heart of the festival is a wide array of fabulous author events; with best-selling fiction in every genre and riveting discussions that cover a wide-range of non-fiction subjects.

Thanks to local sponsorship and support, tickets are available at £10 full price and £5 for concessions – with further discounts available for multi-buys – and once again tickets for under 18’s are completely FREE! Something that is easy to take advantage of with a vibrant children’s programme that includes sensory storytelling for babies and pre-schoolers, interactive storytelling workshops for kids and an exploration of expression through poetry, rap and verse for young people.

This year, the programme has widened its scope to include creative writing workshops, film screenings and guided literary walks. There truly is something for everyone at Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival 2025!
