Big Knicker Night to raise awareness of domestic abuse – Suffolk’s Mothers’ Union – Stowmarket
Suffolk’s Mothers’ Union is hosting a ‘Big Knicker Night’ to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
The Christian charity is holding an evening of entertainment, speakers, stalls and refreshments at the Salvation Army centre in Violet Hill Road, Stowmarket, on Tuesday June 23.
The event includes free entry to anyone who brings and donates a pair of underwear, all of which will be donated to Suffolk women’s refuge charity, Lighthouse Women’s Aid.
As many people fleeing domestic abuse do so suddenly, underwear is often one of the necessities left behind.
All donations of underwear – women’s, men’s and children’s – must be brand new and in their original packaging.
