Pensthorpe launches first ever adults-only date night – with flamingos, fire pits and fun
after dark!

Norfolk’s award-winning 700-acre nature reserve invites grown-ups to enjoy an exclusive summer evening with food, drinks and flamingos at sunset.

Why should children have all the fun? This summer, Pensthorpe is handing the adventure over to the grown-ups with its first-ever Adult Date Night – a special after-hours event offering an exclusive experience of the reserve at dusk.

Taking place on Friday 29th August, this one-night-only evening invites guests aged 18+ to enjoy full access to Pensthorpe’s 700-acre reserve, including its five gardens, Sculpture Trail, outdoor adventure play and new Maize Maze – without the usual daytime crowds.

Also on offer: flamingo talks, pond dipping, stone-baked pizzas, a licensed bar, and marshmallow toasting over fire pits – all designed to help adults unwind, explore and embrace their inner child.

Whether you’re looking for a fun evening with friends, a unique date night, or a tranquil way to experience nature, the event also gives visitors the chance to spot wildlife and enjoy the reserve in a completely different light – with golden-hour views, birds settling for the evening, and dusk sounds creating a completely new atmosphere.

With over 110,000 visitors a year and a recent Best Rural Attraction award, Pensthorpe is known for its all-ages appeal, and now it’s the adults’ turn.

Tickets are £9.95 per person, or £5 for annual members, and include entry from 5:45pm to 9:30pm.

Food and drink are available to purchase on the night.
